We’re starting to get the tables ready for A Bowl of Good Café. We’re designing something that I think you all will really like! We’re hoping to demonstrate the “Globally Inspired, Local Goodness” theme by making tables using barnwood from our friends, the Sechrists, and then placing international, colorful tile in the center. The tile needs to be 10 cm. squared or about 3 2/3″ squared, and we need four that size per table. We have some cool tile from Guatemala and, thanks to our generous friends, Earlynn and Don, we have tile from Mexico and maybe Jerusalem.  We’d love to have some representation from other regions of the world like Asia and Africa. Anybody have some ideas? Ideally, we DO NOT want to buy something from Lowes. It would be best if it had a bit of a story behind it. The story of making the prototype alone has been so much fun and interesting that we’re going to take pictures of everyone who helped contribute to the project. We hope to then frame the photos and pictures to display somewhere in the cafe.

The idea behind the tables is really neat! Look forward to seeing them and eating some good food at the cafe!
