We're thrilled to offer your soup (and other goodies) at another venue here in Staunton. We are impressed by the culinary range you offer and know that you use top-of-the-line ingredients. No wonder your food is so popular! We're honored to feature you at George Bowers. :)

Some of the questions I asked you at the Farmer's Market last week:

1. Have places for growing herbs and greens part of the design inside and out of the cafe?

2. Will rainwater harvesting for the plants be a part of the design?

3. Is there provision for sun in the winter?

4. How will kitchen trimmings be composted? Have restaurants discovered any way to compost consumer waste?

5. How are you locating providers of herbs and greens? I would guess that moving pots of plants and plants in and out of the planters and beds would be necessary. What cooks good and what looks good aren't necessarily the same. One example of this is chives in the spring vs the summer.

Hi Katrina!

Abi immediately said, "Huh? Columbine!" :) That's the purple and yellow flower. The pink and white bush is mountain laurel, I believe.

I was wondering if I bought the Chocolate Cake with cream cheese filling and chocolate chips or the Pear "turnover" pastry from you on Tuesday at the market. If so I hope to get in touch with you all to make arrangements to purchase these for sale at the American Legion Post #188 here in Harrisonburg.

Both were extremely delicious and wonderful.
