Wow! Thanks for commenting and filling us in. We'd love to learn more about Borscht. Personally (Ernie, Katrina's husband writing), I'm not a big fan of beets and thus any borscht I've eaten up to now. However, what Katrina provided had some local beef from T & E Meats that was tender and fabulous! It really made the stew to me. Let us know if you have any more tips or advice!

Well Borscht have different combination and prepared differently though-out the Russia and neighboring Slovak countries. The Borscht which Katrine have prepared was more prepared in central Russian way. I have not tried it myself but from which I know it was kind of over sized cuts for veggies then second most important is beef which was kind of savvy or was not enough in a bowl for it to be called a Borscht. But give or take American way of cooking I would give it a 4 out of 5 since it wont go on cooking contest with professionals who know what a true Borscht means.

Regarding Vlad that day he was starving and wonted to eat so it does not mean anything and regarding matriarch this type of borscht she wont even feed it to the dog . So judge for yourself on this story.

Hi, I picked up lunch several times at your new place as I work a just a few blocks away. Everything I've had so far has been absolutely delicious!!!! I applaud your efforts to support local folk even though I realize it can be a bit more pricey. Thanks for bringing healthy tasty food to 'our' side of town we often comment on the lack of options on this side of Hburg....

The Bowl of Good experience exceeded even my high expectations, so it definitely deserved a glowing review!

(It looks like you're missing my final image -- Katrina's quote from a five-time customer.)
