Our story
A Bowl of Good was built on a vision of healthy, hearty and locally sourced meals inspired by flavors from around the world.
We prepare each meal with care and source from local and regional farmers whenever we can, including local eggs, beef, milk, honey and greens. Many of our dishes are gluten-free, vegetarian or vegan, or can easily be made that way, so there’s something delicious for everyone at the table.
Our cozy, counter-serve café is a gathering place for neighbors, coworkers and families. Our friendly staff and warm atmosphere make it the perfect setting for a quick bite or a small get-together, just ask any Harrisonburg local.
Since 2005, A Bowl of Good has meant “comfort food” to people in the Shenandoah Valley. Since 2010, it has meant the same all across the country. Through our partnership with Take Them a Meal, we ship meals throughout the continental United States every weekday.
